About Us

How did we get our start?

Barktown opened it's doors in 2018 to provide a fun and safe environment for dogs while their owners are away. Building a foundation of confidence and trust with our humans has always been the goal. As we grew over the years, so did our love for the dogs and the familes who care for them. We learned that meaningful care is built on knowing dogs at nose level, and we continue to strive towards that every day.

What makes us unique?

Our top tier service is the product of our knowledgeable and well-trained staff. We have curated the finest team of dog lovers and certified them in areas such as dog behavior and body language, CPR and First Aid, and client care. It's our belief that quality care translates to happier healthier dogs.

MEET our owner:

Staci

I started Barktown because I LOVE dogs and helping the people who care for them. Working with a team of amazing women makes it even better!

When I am not at Barktown, I like to travel or spend time outside with my son and my dogs.

Our family has 5 four legged loves, three dogs: Kavic, Daisy, & Daphne, and two cats: Ivy & Rose.

Our house if full of animals and we LOVE it so much.

My goal is to make your fur babies feel loved and create an environment that is safe and nurturing while they are with us.

My favorite thing about working at Barktown is the excitement and variety of each day. When a dog walks through our doors excited to see us and be there; it is SO rewarding. I also love seeing different breeds and the personalities they come with from day to day. No two days are ever the same and it is so much fun.

My favorite thing to do outside of work is spend time with my kids. Watching them grow and experience things for the first time is so fulfilling as a mom.

I do not have any pets at the moment but I hope in the future!

My favorite part of working at Barktown is getting to work with people who share the same passion as me and getting to know each dog's personality.

My favorite thing to do when I am not working is watch movies or lounge by the pool with family and friends.

I have 4 pets; 3 dogs named: Tipsy, Bert Beowoof, and Lord Lazarus as well as a bearded dragon named Danny.

I love working with the dogs, and learning about them, the bond I make with them is my favorite thing. I learn so much about the different types of breeds and personalities and I love everyone I work with! They are all so supportive and always help if you are confused about anything.

My favorite thing to do outside of work is swim, hang out with friends, and spend time with my family.

My dog's name is Shiloh.

Favorite part about working here: I love working with amazing people and even more amazing dogs. My favorite part is working trick of the month and enrichment activities with the dogs.

My favorite thing to do outside of work: hanging out with my boyfriend and family, reading, and working with my dogs.

I have 3 dogs: Riley, Kenyon, & Gordon!

My favorite thing about working at Barktown is getting to be with the dogs. My goal in life is to be around as many dogs as possible.

My favorite thing to do outside of work is to relax and hang out with friends.

I have two dogs of my own named DJ & Nate that I love so much!

My favorite thing to do outside of work is fishing and spending time with my family.

My favorite thing about Barktown is building bonds with all the fur babies & my lovely team. We all work together so well & are very supportive of one another. I couldn't ask for a better team to work with. The excitement & happiness every one gives even the puppy dogs. Every day is something different and I am always learning something new.

My favorite activities outside of work are getting to spend quality time with my husband, children & our dogs. Getting out in nature and discovering the outside world. I am very big on sight seeing as well.

My favorite thing about working at Barktown would have to be walks. I love the one on one time with the dogs getting those super cute pictures of them exploring and having the best time. You can see the difference in how the dogs open up and their different personalities when you get that one on one playing in a field.

My favorite things to do outside of work are spending time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews; and just being at home with my animals sitting around the pool.

I have three pets at home named: Halo, Gus & Winston.

My favorite thing about working at Barktown is being able to get to know all the dogs' personalities. It's always so rewarding to see our dogs strive and make new friends. I especially love when the more nervous dogs warm up to everyone and make friends!

My favorite thing outside of work is to paint and spend time with my dog.

I have one dog at home. His name is Gizmo, and he is a mini, long-haired dachshund.
